Right now, I know there are 33 guys in Chile that would probably rather fight a Great Wyrm Red Dragon than get back into a mine, but after seeing their harrowing ordeal and joyous rescue, I thought this set might be something gamers might want to see again.
The entire ordeal brings to mind several possible encounters and a complete adventure. Sure, some races are equipped, nay, bred for life underground, some are not. In fact, some characters and races will have adverse reactions to prolonged time underground.
No realm in the D&D® world stirs the imagination like the Underdark. This vast subterranean domain holds thousands of adventure possibilities and myriad threats, including drow, mind flayers, dragons, and worse! Entire campaigns can unfold in its depths, and its rewards are boundless.
Underdark™ contains everything a Dungeon Master needs to run adventures or campaigns set in the vast underworld of his or her D&D campaign, including new monsters and hazards, ready-to-play encounters, monster lairs, and detailed information on various dark-dwelling “movers and shakers.”
New to the Underdark? Be sure to check out these books:
- The Icewind Dale Trilogy Collector’s Edition
- The Dark Elf Trilogy, Collector’s Edition
- Legacy of the Drow Collector’s Edition
Three classics today, each a 40×40 inch adventure map to baffle, bruise, and bewilder your players. These do not have actual adventures to go with them, that’s your job.
Be sure to give yourself lots of space and print out any furniture, traps, or other items to fill up said dungeons.
